Jaci (Jackie)'s Story
After graduation , I attended beauty school in Santa Rosa. I got married on Sept. 16, 1967. "Skip" and I moved to L.A for 5 years.
Skip worked in the stainless industry (commercial kitchens) & traveled a lot. Weekends we spent camping, back packing & prospecting for gold, in addition to being rock hounds with my in-laws in the deserts of CA & NV. We had great adventures, lots of fun, and many funny experiences. About that time my stepson, Len, stepdaughter, Lori, and my brother, Mike, had moved in with us and it was a happy time.
Within 9 months of moving to Sacramento ('75) we adopted the first of our three children. So began my child-centered life for the next 20 years. I began foster care for infants, mostly sick, failure to thrive, or low weight newborns. I loved it. We adopted two of the babies.
But asthma had a change in store for me. I developed it in my late 30s and during summers we had a choice of the ER or taking our 3 (pl...Expand for more

We finally decided we needed to live on the coast. I've been here since '92 and love the Pacific NW.
I became a widow at 57 after 40 years of marriage. I don't know what the future has in store but I have a few plans, like a cruise or two and, maybe, a trip to Europe.
I like to walk by the ocean or take a book and read near the ocean, the sound relaxes me. My inspiration comes from my surroundings. The ocean, the
mountains, the trees, it is my piece of Heaven! In 5 years, I plan to be Living in ÃÂ
British Columbia in a cabin or on a houseboat .
A few of my favorite things are listening to Country-Western music, dancing, my cats, big trucks, & lots of books to read on cold, winter days by a fireplace, jeans, tee shirts, clogs or boots and feeding birds.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Dave Robertson, because he was a constant source of inspirtion & humor.
